Osan Air Base, located just 48 miles south of the Korean DMZ, is home to 7th Air Force and 24 tenant units all hosted by the 51st Fighter Wing "Mustangs." As the most forward deployed permanently-based wing in the Air Force, and equipped with A-10s and F-16s, the 51st Fighter Wing is charged with executing combat operations, receiving follow-on forces and defending the base from attack. As the air component to U.S. Forces Korea and Combined Forces Command, 7th Air Force provides the command and control structures and personnel necessary to deliver precise, persistent, combined air and space power in defense of the Republic of Korea.
The 316th Wing -- the base's host wing -- is responsible for maintaining emergency reaction rotary-wing airlift and other National Capital Region contingency response capabilities critical to national security and for organizing, training, equipping and deploying combat-ready forces for Air and Space Expeditionary Forces. The wing also provides installation security, services and airfield management to support the President, Vice President, other U.S. senior leaders and more than 50 tenant organizations and federal agencies.
The host wing at Aviano Air Base is the 31st Fighter Wing, home to two F-16 fighter squadrons -- the 510th and the 555th. The wing's mission includes: Conducting air and space combat support operations in Europe's Southern region. Conducting regional and expeditionary operations under NATO, SACEUR or national tasking with conventional and non-conventional munitions. Maintaining an air control squadron capable of air surveillance, control and communications. Providing command, control and support functions
Home to the 2nd Bomb Wing and the Mighty 8th Air Force, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana is situated on over 22,000 acres of land in the NW corner of Louisiana. Barksdale warriors and B-52s have a proud tradition serving both at home and abroad in support of the Global War on Terrorism; they have played vital roles in combat operations supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Bolling AFB is home to the 11th Wing, "The Chief's Own." The 11th Wing supports the AF Chief of Staff and other USAF units and personnel in the National Capitol Region and in 152 countries throughout the world. The activities and performances of the U.S. Air Force Band and the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard are also planned, managed and directed under the auspices of the 11th Wing. Also, the 11th Wing is part of the Air Force District of Washington, which provides a single Air Force voice to Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region. The AFDW mission includes base operating support and contingencies and consequence management.
Home of the 27th Special Operations Wing (27th SOW), Cannon Air Force Base is named after General John Kenneth Cannon, a World War II Mediterranean combat commander and former chief of U. S. Air Forces in Europe. The missions of the wing include infiltration, exfiltration and re-supply of special operations forces; air refueling of special operations rotary wing and tiltrotor aircraft; and precision fire support. These capabilities support a variety of special operations missions including direct action, unconventional warfare, special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, personnel recovery, psychological operations and information operations.
Dyess Air Force Base is located near the city of Abilene. It was originally known as Abilene Air Force Base until it was renamed on December 6, 1956, in honor of Lt. Col. William E. Dyess. The base is home to the 7th Bomb Wing, the premier operational B-1B Lancer unit in the U.S. Air Force and a vital player in both Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. The men and women of Dyess serve our great nation and the Abilene community proudly.
The 354th Fighter Wing is the host unit at Eielson Air Force Base and is assigned to 11th Air Force, headquartered at Elmendorf Air Force Base near Anchorage. Eleventh Air Force falls under Pacific Air Forces, which is headquartered at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. The wing supports operations, maintenance, mission support, and medical group functions and is host to ten tenant units.

Elmendorf Air Force Base, adjacent to Anchorage, is the largest Air Force installation in Alaska and home of the Headquarters, Alaskan Command (ALCOM), Alaskan NORAD Region (ANR), Eleventh Air Force (11 AF), and the 3rd Wing. The Eleventh Air Force's three groups and constituent squadrons maintain the defense capability and remote operating sites throughout Alaska. The 3rd Wing's four groups, supporting five flying squadrons, constitutes the bulwark of North Pacific defense.
Home to the 17th Training Wing, Goodfellow is located on 1,135 acres near the west Texas community of San Angelo, Goodfellow includes more than 200 buildings, many of them accredited to hold and process sensitive compartmented information, plus an additional 200 units of leased housing near Lake Nasworthy. The base hosts a number of tenant organizations, including the 344th Military Intelligence Battalion (Army); the Center for Cryptology (Navy), and a Marine Corps detachment. Additionally, the base hosts a Department of Transportation tire-testing facility.
Grand Forks Air Force Base plays a central role in the nation's defense. It is home to the 319th Air Refueling Wing, one of only three "super tanker" wings in the United States Air Force. To support global implementation of national security strategy, ACC operates fighter, bomber, reconnaissance, battle-management and electronic-combat aircraft. It also provides command, control, communications and intelligence systems, and conducts global information operations. As a force provider, ACC organizes, trains, equips and maintains combat-ready forces for rapid deployment and employment while ensuring strategic air defense forces are ready to meet the challenges of peacetime air sovereignty and wartime air defense. ACC numbered air forces provide the air component to U.S. Central and Southern Commands with Headquarters ACC serving as the air component to U.S. Northern and Joint Forces Commands. ACC also augments forces to U.S. European, Pacific and Strategic Commands.
Hurlburt Field is located 3 miles west of Fort Walton Beach, FL.  Hurlburt Field is home to the Air Force Special Operations School, Air Force Air Ground School, Headquarters, Air Force Special Operations Command, and 16th Special Operations Wing, to name a few.  There are over 7,500 active duty along with 13,000 dependents and civilians on base.
Keesler Air Force Base is the "Electronics Training Center of Excellence" for the United States Air Force.  Located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the 81st Training Wing is host to 2nd Air Force, the 403rd Wing (AF Reserve) and home of the 2nd largest AF medical facility, Keesler Medical Center.  Keesler trains 40,000 students annually in 500 courses, with an average daily student load of more than 3,500.  We are a lead Joint Training installation, instructing not only Air Force, but Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and civilian federal agency personnel.
The 37th Training Wing, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, is the largest training wing in the Air Force. The 37th TRW provides basic military, professional and technical skills, and English language training for the Air Force, other military services, government agencies, and allies. Its four primary training functions graduate more than 86,000 students annually. The wing also provides quality operating support to more than 70 tenant and associate units.

Little Rock Air Force Base is the home of Combat Airlift. The 314th Airlift Wing is the host unit which reports to Air Education and Training Command. Two major associate units, the 463rd Airlift Group and the U.S. Air Force Mobility Weapons School, report to Air Mobility Command. Additionally, the 189th Airlift Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard is located here. The 189th AW also reports to Air Education and Training Command.
America's Most Responsive, Reliable and Renowned Mobility Wing. The 6th AMW is a 3,000-person force capable of rapidly projecting air refueling power anywhere in the world. We are organized into five unique groups to carry out our mission to be America’s premier mobility team providing world-class air refueling, responsive airlift and airbase support to Headquarters U.S. Central Command, Headquarters U.S. Special Operations Command, and 51 other mission partners that call MacDill home.
The 22nd Air Refueling Wing is the host unit for McConnell AFB. We are one of only three supertanker KC-135 Stratotanker wings in the Air Force. Our primary mission is to provide global reach by conducting air refueling and airlift where and when needed. Team McConnell is the only Total Force base, and is made up of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing, the 931st Air Refueling Group and the Kansas Air National Guard's 184th Air Refueling Wing.
Moody Air Force Base is home to the 23rd Wing. The 23rd Wing consists of seven groups and is tasked to organize, train and employ combat-ready security forces, pararescuemen, A/OA-10, HH-60, and HC-130 forces totaling 6,100 military and civilian personnel including three geographical separated units. The wing executes worldwide close air support, force protection, and combat search and rescue operations in support of humanitarian interests, United States national security and the global war on terrorism.
Nellis is called the "Home of the Fighter Pilot," and for good reason. Nellis is a member of the United States Air Force's Air Combat Command and home of the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center. With five wings and more than 150 aircraft, the Warfare Center is responsible for advanced combat training, tactics development and operational testing.
Offutt Air Force Base is home of the 55th Wing, the Fightin' Fifty-Fifth, and a variety of tenant units.  Offutt’s diverse missions and global responsibilities put it on the cutting edge of the Air Force’s transformation. Each branch of the US military is represented among the approximately 12,000 military and federal employees assigned here. Offutt is a beautiful community situated near the Missouri River in the rolling hills of southeastern Nebraska.
Welcome to the 43d Airlift Wing, home of the Gryphon, "we put the Air in Airborne." The 43d Airlift Wing Maintains a high state of readiness to rapidly deploy, upon short notice, a highly trained airlift force and successfully plans and executes air operations. . The wing comprises two C-130E squadrons, providing tactical airlift in support of the Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps, 82nd Airborne Division, and U.S. Army Special Operations Command. The base also provides air mobility and airdrop testing, as well as joint force training. The wing provides host support to numerous organizations, including the 23rd Fighter Group, 21st and 24th Special Tactics Squadrons, and the Combat Control School.
The 501st Combat Support Wing ensures four United Kingdom-based air base groups are resourced, sustained, trained and equipped to exacting command standards in order to provide mission support that enables U.S. and NATO war fighters to conduct full spectrum flying operations during expeditionary deployments, theater munitions movements, global command and control communications to forward deployed locations, support for theater intelligence operations and joint/combined training.
The United States Air Force activated the 100th Air Refueling Wing, host wing at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom, on February 1, 1992. From the time of its reactivation, the 100th ARW has served as the lone air refueling wing for U.S. Air Forces in Europe. The diverse mission of aerial refueling, special operations, air mobility, reconnaissance and intelligence makes RAF Mildenhall a unique U.S. Air Force base.As the air component for U.S. European Command, USAFE directs air operations in a theater spanning three continents, covering more than 20 million square miles, containing 91 countries and possessing one-fourth of the world’s population and about one-third of the world’s Gross Domestic Product. During the Cold War, USAFE was a fight-in-place force postured for a large-scale conflict. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, it has transitioned to an Air Expeditionary Force with a mobile and deployable mix of people and resources that can simultaneously operate in multiple locations. Its role in Europe and Africa has included warfighting as well as humanitarian and peacekeeping operations, and other non-traditional contingencies throughout its area of responsibility. In peacetime, USAFE trains and equips U.S. Air Force units pledged to NATO. In fulfilling its NATO responsibilities, USAFE maintains combat-ready wings based from Great Britain to Turkey. USAFE plans, conducts, controls, coordinates and supports air and space operations in Europe, parts of Asia and Africa to achieve U.S. national and NATO objectives based on taskings by the U.S. EUCOM commander.
Part of the Kaiserslautern Military Community, Ramstein Air Base serves as headquarters for U.S. Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) and is also a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) installation. Ramstein is located near the town of Ramstein, in the rural district of Kaiserslautern, Germany. Besides Americans, the installation's population is comprised of Canadian, German, British, French, Belgian, Polish, Czech, Norwegian, Danish and Dutch forces.
The 375th Airlift Wing is Air Mobility Command's Showcase Wing -- Making Global Mobility Happen every day, anywhere in the world. The wing has four primary missions. We support aeromedical evacuation within the United States. We provide operational support airlift for government officials. We offer direct security for our community and nation. And we provide support for our host units -- making possible the command and control of the United States' entire military transportation effort. We accomplish our mission through three groups: the 375th Operations Group, the 375th Mission Support Group, and the 375th Medical Group. Together, these men and women focus on serving the needs of the Scott Air Force Base community. As the host unit, the 375th Airlift Wing provides base support services to 20-plus tenant units, including six headquarters and a numbered air force -- making team Scott, a total-force installation. There are also two flying partners at Scott. The 932nd Airlift Wing is our Reserve component, and the 126th Air Refueling Wing is our Air National Guard component. The Scott Air Force Base flight line is home to the C-21, the KC-135, and the C-9.
Shaw Air Force Base is home to the Air Force's largest combat F-16 wing -- the 20th Fighter Wing -- whose mission is to provide, project and sustain combat-ready air forces.  Shaw also serves as home to Headquarters Ninth Air Force and U.S. Central Command Air Forces (USCENTAF), whose primary mission is to project decisive air and space power for U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) and America.
The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC), based at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the largest of three ALCs in the Air Force Materiel Command and provides depot maintenance, product support, services and supply chain management, as well as information support for 31 weapon systems, 10 commands, 93 Air Force bases and 46 foreign nations.
